This is the inaugural meeting for individuals interested in pursuing the potential of a large-scale community-owned wind power development project in Dufferin County.

Discussion Included:

  • necessary elements to enable such a project to happen both politically & within the community
  • review business models for large-scale wind power
  • current and future economic conditions to make wind power viable
  • possible structures for the emerging wind power group

PURE is a community-oriented, not-for-profit co-operative that is committed to bringing renewable energy
